Your wait is over. The pleas have been heard, pondered and ignored.
Until now.
In
a move sure to upset at least four people we know by name, TeamStrange is
pleased as you-know-what to announce the 2008 BL IIII Rally.
We again provide an incredibly fun, arduously difficult way to spend the best week of your summer doing things you never thought possible—going to places no one will believe exist—in a whirlwind of time, space and mirth that most sane folks would deem impossible, or at least downright unlikely.
Can you say joyful
sensory overload? We can't either, but we can say BL IIII.
Anyway, you can expect all the TeamStrange mischief and frivolity you’ve come to know and love. Dark lonely places in the middle of the night. Big city downtown at rush hour. Must do you-can’t-get-there-from-here conundrums to test your routing skills. Eddie’s insane routing puzzles and bonus fun. Adam’s “no nonsense” attitude. David E.B. Smith’s logic to keep us grounded. That John Pedrow guy. And to top it all off, some lucky finisher is going home the winner of a brand new motorcycle. Yes, you read that right.
Did we mention we’re also accepting digital photos this time?
What?:
BL IIII
When?: Aug. 5 – 12, 2008.
Where?: We’re not telling yet.
Find Speed, MO.
Draw a circle 250 miles in diameter around the town.
The starting location is in there. Somewhere.
Starting location will be announced by February.
Who?: You. and 74 of your soon-to-be closest friends.
Why?: If you have to ask……..
Huh?: Rally start will be on a Tuesday. This will be a multi-checkpoint rally, starting and ending at the same location. Rally checkpoints will be announced in advance (think Spring 2008). While we always use a few perennial favorite bonuses on every rally, we're looking at 90% of all bonuses be brand new for this event. Did we mention that every finisher is eligible to win the brand new motorcycle we’re giving away?
Can’t get the time off work? Those playing along at home have a chance to win $500. Yes, you read that right. Actually, maybe this is more of a Shelbyville idea………..Stay tuned for more details as they develop.
WhatEVER, tell me about the bike! Sure thing, sport:
The motorcycle will be given away in a structured drawing at the conclusion of event. All participants deemed event finishers are eligible, with higher placing finishers receiving additional chances at winning. Current motorcycle to be given away will be the winner’s choice of a BMW F800S, Honda CBR600, or Suzuki V-Strom. Other bike choices may be added as more sponsor involvement details are finalized. Motorcycle will be awarded “as is where is” at TeamStrange selected dealership locations. Motorcycle awarded will be a new 2008 model. Unless otherwise specified, motorcycle selection will be a standard model. Color selection may vary due to availability. All taxes, licensing, documentation, shipping, and/or any other resultant fees related to winning motorcycle are the responsibility of winner. Winner to allow TeamStrange to use their name, image, and likeness in further event promotions without further compensation of any kind.
